St.Georges guide donates Gambian institutions

The St. Georges Guide Denmark The Gambia projection, in collaboration with the Gambia Boden Powel International Fellowship and the Gambia Scout Association, on 8 May donated valuable materials, packed full in a 40-feet container to social institutions in the country.

The presentation ceremony was held at the Little Trees Skills Training Centre in Bakoteh.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Mr. Pa Omar Bojang, the Project Coordinator said that the significance of the donated items cannot be over-emphasised.

Noting that they would put the items into good use, he said the largesse is not the first time of its kind.

Mr. Bojang revealed that this is not the first time to receive such a handsome donation from donors. The beneficiaries included Kuntaur Area Council, Presidential Treatment Programme, the Gambia Scout Association, Scout Skills Centre in Soma, Western Region Disaster Committee, Mbowe Clinic, old Jeshwang Clinic, ANNE Vibe Nursery school, Bajaka Health post, Sanyang School.

For his part, Ousman Sameka Janneh thanked the Danish government for their co-operation and continuous support to the country.

He also applauded the Gambia Scout Association for their commitment and support to the grassroots institutions.

Mr. Lamin Sallah revealed that there is a need to support one another whenever the need arises.
