Steve
Biko Football Club are anxious to bounce back in the ongoing Gambia Football
Federation (GFF) division two league when they host Gunjur United in the
week-two fixture today at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, at 430pm.
The
Bakau giant killers will fight to stun Gunjur to recover in the second tier
after slipping to Immigration 1-0 in their opening encounter last week, in a
bid to boost their chances of returning to the top-flight league next season.
The
Gunjur-based team will also battle for revenge after losing to Steve Biko 2-1
last season, to maintain their winning run in the second tier, following their
resounding 2-0 victory over Team Rihno in their opening match last weekend, to
increase their hopes of regaining promotion to the first division league next
season.
Meanwhile,
Team Rihno will lock horns with Falcons at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium the
same day. Both sides will affray to seal maximum points to recover in the
second division league after losing to Gunjur United and Young Africans
respectively in their opening league ties last week.
