Skydive exercise held at Senegambia, Coco Ocean

As part of efforts at promoting the 2012-2013 tourist season, hundreds of people including tourists on Sunday gathered at the Senegambia Beach Hotel and CoCo Ocean Beach Hotel to witness the first exercise of skydive in the country.

Some senior government officials led by the Minister of Tourism and Culture, Madam Fatou Mass Jobe-Njie, accompanied by the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, Fatou Lamin Faye, and Minister of Youth and Sport Alieu K. Jammeh at the beaches to witness the first official skydive exercise in the country.

Speaking to journalists at the event, Minister Fatou Mass Jobe Njie said the exercise was so beautiful and interesting, particularly taking place within the tourism area.

 Madam Jobe Njie added that the exercise is so great that this event brought different nationalities coming here for the first time doing skydive which is also part of promoting the country’s tourism sector.

She therefore thanked the team of skydive who came composed of different nationalities to take part in the exercise.

Fatou Lamin Faye, Minister of Basic and Secondary Education, said the Minister of Tourism is doing everything possible to make the tourism sector one of the best in the region.

Alieu Jammeh, Minister of Youth and Sport, and Patrick Passe, coordinator of the event, both thanked the Tourism Minister for her efforts at promoting tourism.
