For the first time in the history of football, Sky Power FC recently lifted Bansang Noran tournament title in a penalty shootout, after a one-all draw with Dumasu FC in the stipulated time.
The Noran Junior Tournament was organised by the Bansang Youth Development Association with the aim of bringing youths together in unison.
In the first twenty-seven minutes of the game, Pasan Ceesay, a striker for Sky Power FC, surprised his spectators with an unexpected registered goal through a penalty shot.
The equalizing goal for Dumasu FC was scored by Demba Mbye in the sixtieth minute.
Although Dumasu FC had series of opportunities to claim the title, they could not utilize it, as all their attempts proved futile.
The march ended in a one-all draw and resulted in a penalty shootout which went in favour of Sky Power, with a 5-4 win.
Both teams received handsome cash prizes, with more substantial sum for Sky Power as the winners.
While Santo-su FC took third place, Momodou Baldeh of Dumasu FC received the top scorer prize.
The most disciplined team award went to Yakotai FC, and best player award went to Dumasu FC while Samba Baldeh of Nyang FC received the best skillful player award.
