Uncapped Gambian striker Simon Bass alias Super Changa is set to sign a professional contract with Uruguayan side Club Atletico Penarol on 21 May 2017, after his impressive performance with the club’s youth team.

The former Gunjur United and Brikama United prolific striker joined the Uruguayan side last season after his stunning performance with Brikama United in the country’s top flight league.

Bass, fondly called Changa, is currently playing for Club Atletico Penarol youth team scoring 21 goals in 16 appearances for the club’s reserve team, which prompted them to offer him a contract.

Simon Bass inspired Santos United to the 2014 Gunjur league and Super Cup title

Bass was also part of Gunjur zonal team that lost to Serrekunda West on penalties in the quarterfinal of the 2015 Fibank Gambia Limited-sponsored Super Nawettan prior to his departure to Uruguay searching for professional football.
