Kombo South district football tournament champions Sifoe and Tanji have started gearing up for the 2013-2014 late Kajali Badjie and late Ismaila Nyassi Kombo South district football tournament final, after winning their semi final ties.

Sifoe, won the Kombo South district football tournament title back to back in 2011-2012 and 2012-2013. They have made it to the final, following their 3-2 post-match penalty shoot-out win over Nyofelleh in the first semi final, after regulation time failed to produce a winner at the Jambanjelly football Field.

Tanji booked their ticket to the final following their 4-2 penalty shoot-out victory over Jambanjelly in the second semi final, after a goalless draw in regulation time at the Tujereng football field.

Sifoe and Tanji are embarking on massive training ahead of the district’s biggest football festivity final tie; a final game which is described by many football enthusiasts in the district as a mouth-watering clash.

Sifoe will be fighting tooth and nail for a win against Tanji in the final to retain the Kombo South district football tournament for the third consecutive time in row.

This is Tanji’s first appearance in the Kombo South district football tournament, since the inception of the tournament in the 80s, and will be coming all out for a win against Sifoe to clinch their first-ever Kombo South district football tournament title for the first time in their history.
