The criminal trial of obtaining money by false pretence against one Lamin Touray continued on 20th April 2010 before Principal Magistrate Effim of the Brikama Magistrates' Court.
Testifying before the court, the second prosecution witness, one Sanna Bojang told the court that he is a businessman and that he recognised the accused, Lamin Touray.
According to Mr. Bojang, on 21st October 2009, the accused person broughta Mercedes Benz 200 to him as a guarantor, and told him to borrow him D28, 000, which he promised to pay back on the following day.
He stated that he gave the accused D28, 000 and took the vehicle from him.
Mr. Bojang further testified that the accused had failed to honour his promise and he subsequently took the vehicle to Brikama Police Station.
The case was then adjourned to 4th May 2010.
