The taxi drivers at the Senegambia car park at the Traffic Lights Junction Saturday partook in the monthly cleansing exercise commonly called set-setal.

According to organizers of the cleansing exercise, this time around the cleansing exercise was twofold: the monthly cleansing exercise, and cleansing the environment as the country prepared to mark the Golden Jubilee independence anniversary.

Speaking to this reporter, one Modou Mbye, a taxi driver, said they participate in every monthly cleansing exercise at their car park.

He said last Saturday’s monthly cleansing exercise was important as the country prepared for the Golden Jubilee, and the Traffic Lights Junction being the route leading to the stadium, they thought it proper to clean the area for the guests coming to grace the celebration.
