Momodou
Sall, a Senegalese national, yesterday appeared before Principal Magistrate
Abeke of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court for allegedly making or having in his
possession papers or equipment for forgery.
He denied any wrongdoing.
At that juncture, ASP Fadera applied for the
accused to be remanded in custody and his application was granted.
The
case was adjourned until 3 August 2017, for hearing.
The
charge sheet read in court stated that on 24 July 2017 at Qcell Building along
Kairaba Avenue, in the Kanifing Municipality, he knowingly had in his
possession an instrument and papers intended for making bank notes.
