Senegal U-20 to Arrive on Thursday

The U-20 team of Senegal will finally arrive in Banjul on Thursday  to take on the Gambia U-20 side in  the Africell sponsored international friendly match on Saturday June 21st  at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

The team is expected to be camped at the Paradise Suites Hotel.

The test match is a testing ground for the Gambia  U-20 team who will be locking horns with Mauritania a week later in Banjul on June 28, 2008, as part of the African Youth Championship qualifiers.

Ahead of the encounter, foreign based Gambian players have been invited by the FA.

Among them is Yusuf Yaffa who plays in Italy. He  was expected in town last evening. Mohammed Mbye of Rennes in France is currently in town.

 Prominent Sainey Nyassi  who plays for New England Revolution in US will surely play in the June 28 encounter but might  likely feature in the test match.

The tickets for the match are as follows; VIP, D300, Covered and Uncovered pavilions are pegged at D50 and D25 respectively.
