Senegal U-20 team on Sunday thumped the Gambia U-20 team 2-0 in an international friendly match played at the Jules François Bocande Centre in Touba Dialaw 47 kilometres away from Dakar.

The international friendly game was part of both countries’ preparations for their final qualifiers first leg tie next month.

The Gambia will play against Guinea Conakry in the first leg on 10 July 2016, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

Senegal will clash with Ghana in the other final qualifiers first leg; winners of the final qualifiers will join the host nation Zambia in the 2017 African U-20 Youth championship next year.

Senegal opened the scores through Alassana Diouf in the 30th minute of the game from the penalty spot after right-back Hamidou Bojang brought him down inside the eighteen to give the Young Terrenga Lions the lead.

Ebrima Njie sealed the victory for Senegal U-20 in the 80th minute of the game to earn the Young Terrenga Lions a resounding win over the Darling Scorpions in an international friendly game.
