Seminar on leadership held

The Global Center for Transformational Leadership recently held a day-long seminar on leadership at the Sunswing hotel formerly Jerma Beach hotel.

The seminar, which brought together participants from across all sectors, was followed by the conferment of doctoral honors.

Honors were conferred on Mayor Samba Faal of the Banjul City Council, Mr Phoday Jobe and Madam Fatoumatta Jah.

Speaking at the event, Dr Godwin P. Davids said the event was meant to honor people with outstanding contributions to society.

He announced that the Global Center for Transformational Leadership will on 15th September 2012 host the West African Transformational Leadership Awards (WATLA).

According to him, the awards event is meant to honor, recognize and acknowledge the efforts of organisations in the private sector, which have contributed positively to the growth of their countries and the sub-region.

He stated that areas to be covered by the honors include health, agriculture, education, communications, banking and finance, energy, multimedia, and entertainment among others.
