The
2017 National volleyball league season will begin with a Super Cup final at the
Independence Stadium in Bakau on Saturday 15 April 2017 as the Gambia
Volleyball Federation stages the traditional curtain raiser in both the male
and female categories.
The
Gambia Armed Forces female team will entertain Interior in the early kickoff in
the women’s competition, while in the male category GAF will host the Police as
well.
The
curtain-raiser will be the high point of the National League Competition as it
opens the way for the 2016/2017 National Volleyball League.
GAF
male volleyball team won the league for the first time in their history against
a resolute Interior side.
However
the Police went on to win the cup final 3-2 against the Soldiers. The two will
meet again for the season opener and the biggest prize and honour lie on
Saturday. Who will grab the prize watch the space?
