Scorpions returnee Ebrima Sohna moves to Kazakhstan
Gambian midfielder Ebrima Sohna has been spotted playing with Kazakhstan Premier league side Vostok.
Sohna, named as part of the list of Gambian players currently off to Ivory Coast for the first leg qualifiers of the World Cup campaign, is reported to have moved from Finnish side KUPS after making 12 appearances for them, soccerway has stated.
After being absent from the national team for many months, Sohna did receive a call from Italian coach Mancini.
In 2010 he scored the Scorpions’ only goal during their 5-1 defeat to Mexico in a friendly.
He made his first appearance for the side on Saturday 9 March when Vostok lost 1-0 to Abtobe to also receive his first yellow in the PRL league.
Sohna also made another full-time appearance during last Friday’s club’s stalemate match against Irtysh.
Scorpions’ teammate Momodou Ceesay, who is also in the same league following his move away from Zilina, is playing with FC Kairat.
He has so far scored two goals opening his goal record for the Kairat at the start of the season last weekend when they drew 3-3 with Zhetysu.
Both players are part of the team that will face Ivory Coast.
