The Scorpions of The Gambia record at the FIFA rankings has continued to fall as they witnessed another drop in the world rankings released on Thursday.
They are the 147th side in the world and 40 in Africa, a single-place drop from last month when they fielded 146 and are currently maintaining the same position in Africa.
The Gambia lost 3-0 to Ivory Coast in March and are at the bottom of the table in their group in the World Cup qualifiers with a single point from a draw derived from their 1-1 draw against Morocco in Banjul in the opening of the qualifiers.
Bafana Bafana climbed six places to 56th. They are set to face Lesotho in an international friendly in Maseru next month, ahead of return-leg qualifying matches against CAR and Ethiopia.
World champions Spain remain top of the global list, while Ivory Coast, 12th in the world, hold No 1 spot in the African rankings.
