Finnish giants HJK suffered on Sunday 1-0 defeat to FC Honka as Demba Savage, who was engaged in the Scorpions weekend World Cup matches, was benched in the match against former club.

The forward was part of the Gambia team that lost 2-0 to Morocco on Saturday and was in time to meet the club’s 13th league match on Sunday.

He has so far scored 5 goals in 11 league matches.

The defeat has now sent them to second position with 23 points, the same number of points with Honka on the table.

The club is now second, ahead of VPS on a one-point lead.

HJK will play on Wednesday against MyPa.
