League
leaders Fortune FC and second-spot Wallidan are strong-minded to maintain their
positions in the 2016-2017 Gambia Football Federation second division league
when the league matches resume this weekend.
Fortune
FC are currently topping the country’s second tier with 19 points in nine
league matches. Wallidan are second-place with 17 points in nine league matches
one point behind league leaders Fortune FC.
The
Farato-based outfit and blue boys will be stimulating to win their upcoming
league fixtures this weekend to keep their position in the second tier as well
as boost their dreams of gaining promotion to the top-flight next season.
Serrekunda
East Bi and Blue Stars are occupying second-place bottom and bottom-place in
the second tier and will fight to win their matches this weekend and hope teams
above them to lose and move from relegation zone.
The
Serrekunda East-based outfit are sitting bottom place; the Wellingara-based
outfit are struggling bottom-place in the second division league, and will
fight hard to win their upcoming league fixtures to move away from the red
zone.
