Saika Fofana, charged with shop breaking and stealing, recently testified in defence at the Brikama Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Babucarr Secka.

Testifying, the accused, Saika Fofana, told the court that in 2010, he was in his house when one Lamin Camara came with some items, adding that he asked Lamin Camara where he got those items and Lamin told him the items were given to him by his brother.

“Lamin Camara then brought out eight mobile phones and gave me three and told me to keep five for him including a labtop,” the accused told the court in his defence.

He also gave one mobile phone to one Bakary Saho, the accused said, adding that one day Bakary Saho called and informed him that he (Bakary) was caught with the mobile phone and was at the police station.

Bakary Saho, he added, came with a CID officer and subsequently he was arrested and taken to Yundum Police Station.
