Sarjo Barrow not arrested

It was reported on Wednesday by the social media that veteran broadcaster Sarjo Barrow of GRTS and Star FM was arrested.

When contacted by this paper Barrow categorically denied the report.

He said: “The report was malicious, no iota of truth. It is mere fabrication to tarnish my name.”

Sarjo Barrow worked for GRTS for 34 years, from 1979 to 2013, as a broadcaster, presenter and producer.

Now he is on contract on an annual basis.

Barrow also works for Star FM as an adviser and newscaster.
