Alhaji Saihouna Sanneh, 54, a native of Banjulinding village, has been nominated as National Assembly Member. He was sworn in on Monday 15thDecember 2008 at the National Assembly Chambers.
Mr Sanneh replaces Ms Oley Sey whose nomination was rescinded by the president and now standing trial for having allegedly conspired with one Abdou Rahman Bah and stole the sum of D500, 000 donated to James Junkung Jammeh Nursery School at Abuko by President Jammeh.
Until his nomination, Mr. Sanneh was a nominated councillor, representing the youths at the Brikama Area Council. He is also the APRC youth leader in Western Region.
