South Africa will host The Gambia in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers tomorrow, Saturday 2015, at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Tomorrow’s meeting will be the first-ever of South Africa and Gambia in the continent’s biggest football fiesta - Africa Cup of Nations.

The Gambia came from one nil down to South Africa 2-1 in the semifinal of the 2005 Africa U-17 Youth championship before beating Ghana 1-0 in the final played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, courtesy of striker Ousman Jallow’s controversial winner in the dying minutes to clinch their first-ever continental title in the cadet category.

Bafana Bafana will be challenging for a win against the Scorpions to grip the vital three points in order to fancy their hopes of qualifying for the 2017, after their woeful performance in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations hosted in Equatorial Guinea in January and their early exit from CASAFA Cup.

The Scorpions will also be contesting for a positive result against Bafana Bafana to snatch the maximum points to keep their dreams of qualifying for their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations.

Elsewhere, Cameroon will welcome Mauritanina in Younde.
