Ron Mango is looking set to retain the Bakau Knock-out title when the double finalist entertains Vidar FC in the 2009 Knock-out final today.
The much-experienced Bakau New Town side led by Alagie Drammeh, who guided the club to their Knock-out title last year after beating Sea View in the final, is highly tipped to replicate a similar success when he led his in-form side to another championship final against Vidar for the second time in two years.
Ron Mango's performance in this year's Nawettan has no doubt been satisfactory, especially managing sports in both the League and the Knock-out finals in two successive seasons.
They made a similar achievement last year after securing a place in another doubles, winning the Knock-out and losing the League title to Linguere, which has been one of the greatest performers for the youngsters.
Thursday's final is expected to produce a cracking Knock-out final, taking into consideration the experience of goal machine and masmeric Pa Amadou Daddy Gai, who spent sometime in the US Major League Soccer as a professional.
He is expected to lead the attack for Ron Mango and the valuable contribution of stars like Musa Njie who spent many years with Bakau United in the GFA First Division League, Lamin Jallow, alias Beck who received his first call-up to The Gambia?s national U-17 squad that traveled to the United Kingdom for a two-week intensive training camp in the build-up to the just ended FIFA U-17 World Cup in Nigeria, striker Alagie Jammeh (Shearer), among other star players.
But Ron-Mango must also remember and be aware of the fact that Vidar is a household name in Bakau Nawetaan because they have also got a lot of experiences, and big name players in their side who can decide any game on their own and no one should rule out their possibility of winning the title.
This is expected to be followed by another final when Ron-Mango entertains Unique FC that has failed to snatch silverware for nine years when the two sides meet in the League Final yet to be scheduled.
