It was not an easy road to cross as both sides came into the game with the intention of bagging the maximum points to keep their title ambitions alive. They launched serious assaults at each other’s goal mouth.
It was Real De Banjul who were able to utilize their limited goal-scoring opportunities and opened the tally through talisman Madi Fatty in the 20th minute of the game from a brilliant strike to give city boys the lead.
Nfamara Jarjue netted the second goal in the 35th minute of the game from a stunning strike, before winger wizard Lamin Jallow Beck sealed the victory in the 45th minute of the game from an astonishing strike to earn the city boys a convincing win over West Coast Region outfit to close the gap to a single point.
Brikama United responded back for an equalizer and created some goal-scoring opportunities but could not break through Real De Banjul’s formidable defence line thus the game ended 3-0 in favour of Real De Banjul.
Despite losing to Real De Banjul 3-0 in their week-seven fixtures played at the Serrekunda East Mini Stadium on Tuesday, Brikama United are still leading the league table with 13 points in seven games, a single point ahead of 2nd-place Real De Banjul, who have bagged 12 points in six games with a game in hand.
