PW2 testifies in theft case

One Lamin Darboe recently testified in a theft case involving one Ebrima Jammeh, before Magistrate Ibrahim Kijera of the Bundung Magistrates’ Court.

The witness told the court that he resides at Tallinding village and a mechanic by profession.

He adduced that he knows the accused person and sometime in April 2014, while he was at work, some of his properties went missing in his house.

He added that the accused home was not far from his house, adding that one day when he closed from work going home, he recognised his Jacket with one boy.

He said when he approached the boy and asked him where got this jacket, the boy told him that it was the accused who sold it to him, and he knew that boy as a friend of the accused.

“I told the said boy to call the accused and when we went to the accused, the accused admitted selling the jacket to the boy, but denied that I am the owner of the said jacket,” he said.

“I reported the matter at the Tallinding Police Station and the accused was later arrested. I gave statement to the police in connection to the case,” he stated.

The case continues.
