Police
in the West Coast Region has arrested one Omar Jallow commonly known as (Joe)
and Modou Lamin Sabally, for reportedly stealing six motorcycles among others
items, The Point has been informed.
The
two suspects have been charged with stealing motor vehicles, house breaking and
stealing and conspiracy to commit felony. They are currently under the custody
awaiting trial.

Lamin Njie, the spokesperson of The Gambia Police Force (GPF) confirmed the
development to The Point. He said: “Our officers swiftly acting on a tip-off;
visited the suspects’ residence where a thorough search was conducted leading to the recovery
of six motorcycles, 2 pedal bicycles, flat screen TV, and 10 mobile phones.”
The
suspects, PRO Njie added, have a complete tool box with a new kick-starter
machine, which they used to plug in and ignite motorcycles.
Njie
added: “Our message is to call on the public to come forward to help identify
the motorcycles. We equally encourage the public to be vigilant and share
information with the police anytime they see something unusual,” he stated.
