Plymouth
Banjul Challenge through KitAid yesterday donated football materials to senior
secondary schools and youth organisations.
The
beneficiaries were Gambia High School, Muslim High School, Saint Augustine’s
High School, Faji Kunda and Kololi Youth Association.
Speaking
at the presentation ceremony held at the Asset Bantaba in Senegambia, George
Gomez, director of Plymouth Banjul Challenge, said the organization supported
the development of football fields in the country in the previous years, adding
that they have also been rendering support to football, cricket, cycling and
related disciplines.
Gomez
stated that they paid £600 pounds sterling for the shipping and storage of the
football items.
For
his part, Momodou Secka, administor of Plymouth Banjul Challenge, said the
organization was established to support youth, adding that the organisation has
also been supporting various football fields in the country.
