Pedal bicycle thief in court

A man accused of stealing a pedal bicycle and being in possession of suspected stolen property was yesterday arraigned at the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, presided over by Magistrate Abeke.

Mass Bah admitted to the charges and was ordered to remain in custody until today when the facts of the case will be presented before the court.

The particulars of offence on count one read that the accused, Mass Bah, on 22 April 2013, at the Management Development Institute (MDI), in the Kanifing Municipality, stole a pedal bicycle valued at D5,000 being the property of one Buba Jawo.

Count two read that the accused, Mass Bah, in April 2013, at diverse places, in the Kanifing Municipality, was found in possession of two pedal bicycles suspected to have been stolen or unlawfully obtained.
