A man called Alieu Ceesay was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Hilary Abeke of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, charged with assault causing actual bodily harm.
He denied the charge and was granted court bail of D10,000 with two Gambian sureties.
According to charge sheet read in court, the accused, Alieu Ceesay, on 30 May 2013, at Sanchaba, in the Kanifing Municipality, assaulted one Nyimasata Manneh, by biting her on her left thumb finger and also gave her a blow on her mouth to wit, lost one of her lower teeth.
The case was adjourned till 17 June 2013.
