Pa Saikou’s Hibernian in consecutive clean sheets

Pa Saikou Kujabi and teammates have powered two games without conceding a goal, after Saturday’s goalless Scottish Premiere League match against Aberdeen.

The Gambian international, whose role is key in both matches, made impressive performances in their Scottish Cup 1-0 win over Kilmarnock last week, where he debuted for them,  and their scoreless Scottish Premier League draw against Aberdeen at Easter Road.

Close to stoppage time, Pa Saikou, who celebrated his second appearance for the side on Saturday, sent in a cross saved by opponent keeper Jason Brown.

His input in Saturday’s match was all over the field as he centred and took corner and free kicks for the Premier league strugglers at the best pace.

Hibernian team coach Pat Fenlon, who is satisfied with the team’s clean sheet of performance, encouraged the players to work hard to improve the more, he told BBC Scotland.

The coach, who is looking for his third clean sheet run next week, believes it is attainable but Hibs will have to resist Scottish Premier League leaders Celtic when they visit Leith next Sunday.

That will be no easy task, but for Fenlon the players’ job is made easier by the support from the stands, according to BBC.

The result means Hibs have moved a point clear of bottom club Dunfermline.

Aberdeen have been overtaken by Dundee United on goal difference, after the Taysiders have moved up to seventh, with each grabbing 30 points.
