The Minister of Youths and Sports, Sheriff Gomez, will on Friday morning inaugurate the new National Sports Council members, headed by Bun Njie, former Principal of Muslim Senior Secondary School, at the Independence Stadium.
Bun Njie, a seasoned sportsman who has been appointed the new Chairman of the National Sports Council in January replaces Alex Dacosta, the former Chairman of the Interim Committee, whose term has expired months ago.
Elizabeth Bahoum, the Director of National Records Service, Sheikh Teejan Faye, former Gambian international athlete and Ms. Cecilia Jallow, were also nominated to serve as council members.
