The 2012 summer’s biggest football competition better known as Nawettan continues to gather pace across major Nawettan centers in the country.
In Gunjur, World Eleven FC are through to the final in the 2012 Gunjur Nawettan league, following their slender 1-0 win over Commit FC in the first semi final game played at the Gunjur Football Field on Saturday.
Ousman Njie’s 20th minute strike was enough to send coach Balla Jatta’s charges to their second final in Gunjur Nawettan, after losing to Manchester United 3-1 in the knockout in 2010.
Oxford United FC also booked their ticket in their 4-2 post match penalty shoot-out with Solifo FC in the second semi final, after a goalless draw in regulation time on Sunday.
World Eleven FC will now rub shoulders with Oxford United FC in the final to be announced later.
In Brikama, Sky Power FC advanced to the semi final in the Brikama Nawettan following their 3-1 post match penalty kick win over Amasa FC in the quarter final, after a goalless draw in regulation time at the Mini Stadium recently.
Chimo United FC also progressed to the semi final following a 4-2 post match penalty shoot-out win over Puntalana FC in the other quarter final clash, after a goalless draw in regulation time.
In Bakau, Bantankoto /Oslo FC sailed to the quarter finals in the Bakau Nawettan after thumping Mamakoto FC 4-0 in their round sixteen game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium, with goals from Mamanding and Sulayman Sanyang.
Vidar FC secured a place in the quarter finals following a post match penalty shoot-out win over Magadan FC in the other quarter final game played at the Bakau Mini Stadium.
