As part of their efforts to equip coaches and sports administrators in Brikama with knowledge in coaching and sports administration, the Brikama Youth and Sports Committee (BYSC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports completed a three-day coaching course for Nawettan coaches and sports administrators, held in Brikama at the Box Bar Mini Stadium on Sunday.
The training course brought together sport administrators and Nawettan coaches in Brikama and environs.
In his closing remarks, Malang Jassey, Director at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, applauded the participants for their cooperation and commitment during the training course, adding that the training course would go a long way in attaining excellence in sports.
He also thanked the course facilitators for their support during the course, and urged the participants to make best use of the knowledge gained from the training exercise.
Basiru Bajo, president of the Brikama Youth and Sports Committee (BYSC), commended the Sports Ministry for their contribution towards the development of sports in the country, noting that the training course would really aid coaches and sports administrators in their careers.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Assan Darboe, a participant, hailed BYSC and the Ministry of Sports for organizing the training course, adding that the course would help coaches participating in the new nawettan season.
