National Female Team Destroys Company Ten

As part of the preparation for the West Africa Football Union Female championship (WAFU), scheduled to take place in the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 21 July to 1 August 2009, the newly selected Gambia National Female Team, which is expected to represent the country in the championship defeated Company Ten five-nil in a warm-up friendly match, played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Tuesday 2 June, 2009.

Isatou Jallow and substitute Ya Dembo Sowe, both scored a brace to give their side a four goals advantage before Sainey Sisoho put her name on the score sheet to give the national team an impressive five-nil advantage under the gears of the watching supporters.

The win is the team's second of the week, following a narrow one-nil victory over the current female division one league leaders- Interior when midfielder Veronic Malac scored from a penalty spot, earlier on Monday to confirmed her side's only goal of the game at the Independence Stadium.

The team, according to Coach Buba Jallow will leave the Gambia to undergo a two-day international friendly football matches in Guinea Bissau and Zigunchor.
