NAS FC rejuvenated their hundred record in the 2011-20012 Nawettan season after their convincing 2-0 victory over Santos United FC group A clash at the Gunjur Nyamina Football Field on Saturday.
Both sides came into the game after winning their opening games and the game was dominated and controlled by NAS FC and they launched several goal-scoring attempt but all their limited goal scoring opportunities were denied Santos United FC formidable defence line and thus first period ended goalless.
Upon resumption of the second period, NAS FC continued their supremacy over Santos United FC and created numerous goal scoring chances and they opened the scoring through Lamin Bojang alias Terrebeh in the 57th minute of the game after deadlock in the first period.
Ousman Marenah sealed the victory in the 65th minute of the game from superb strike to give NAS FC needed maximum points and also their second successive victory in the new Gunjur Nawettan season.
The defending league champions Commit FC share spoils with Gunjur Link Committee FC in group A after 1-1 draw at Gunjur Nyamina Football Field on Sunday, Solifo Investment FC thrashed Asselem FC 2-0 in group D, while Sambouyang FC beat Sebindinto FC on the same score line in group A.
NAS FC is currently leading group A with maximum 6 points in two games, Commit FC 2nddposition with 4 points in two games, Santos United FC 3rd position with 3 points in two games, Sambouyang FC 4th position with 3 points in two outings and Gunjur Link FC 5th position with single point in two games.
Solifo Investment FC is leading group D with 3 points in single game, Gamcel FC 2nd position with 3 points in one outing, while Asselem FC are rooted at the bottom of group D with zero point in one game.
