Her name rings a bell. Preparations are at advanced stage to release a debut album, as the young talented Gambian female artiste Haddy Trawally, alias Diha, has released two singles entitled Mbuguel and Gorbi.
Diha is busy putting finishing touches to release her first album expected to hit the market soon.
Speaking in an interview with this reporter, Diha said she has been in the music arena for 10 years now.
“I have been singing since I was very young,” she said, adding that at19 she joined a rap group through which she discovered herself the more. “Later I made my own single to test my talent,” she explained.
The young Banjul female musician told Entertainment that she is yet to release her first album but has two singles up her sleeve, which are in their prime on air.
Commenting on the music industry in The Gambia, the Banjul born promising musician called on all people to support Gambian music in all aspects, emphasising that Gambian music is presently dominated by Senegalese music in the market.
Gambian musicians need help, she says. Musicians are mostly supported by President Jammeh whom she said cannot do it all alone.
She commended upcoming artistes for their wonderful performance in the music industry.
