Report reaching this paper has stated that Momodou Lamin Jarjue, former Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), and also one time army officer in the Gambia National Army has been appointed as the Director General of Prisons.
He replaces David Colley, who is appointed adviser at the Ministry of Interior and NGO Affairs.
