A man was recently convicted and sentenced to a fine of D10, 000 in default to serve six months in prison by the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court, presided over by Magistrate Tabally.
Babucarr Sarr pleaded guilty of stealing two mobile phones with a memory card at Africell.
According to the charge sheet, on 10 January 2011, at Africell, Kairaba Avenue in the Kanifing Municipality, the convicted person, Babucarr Sarr, stole two mobile phones with one gigabyte memory card, all valued at D4,500, the property of one Raafat Al-Ahmar.
