Medina
on Sunday beat Milan 4-2 on penalties, after a goalless draw in the all-Tallinding
derby final game played at the Serrekunda East mini stadium to retain their
2015 SerreKunda East Nawettan league crown.
Milan
won the knockout trophy prior to their Sunday’s Tallinding derby with medina,
after beating future stars 3-0 on post-match, after the regular time finished
goalless.
Medina
missed the knockout trophy before their Sunday league final fixtures against
Milan.
Milan,
who clinched the knockout trophy, came all out for victory against Medina to
complete a double in Serrekunda East nawettan but were reluctant to achieve
their aim after slipping to Medina in the all-Tallinding derby league final.
Medina
claimed the 2015 league title before their Sunday league final showdown with
Milan.
Medina
retained their league crown after their penalty shootout win over rivals Milan
on penalties, following their goalless draw in the regular time to retain their
2015 Serrekunda East league crown.
As
champions, Medina went home with a giant trophy and cash prize of D50,000,
whilst Milan received D30,000 as runners-up.
The
final was graced by Amie Ceesay of QCell, the secretary general Abas Bah, and
Lang Tombong Tamba, the former first-vice president of then Gambia Football
Association, and other important dignitaries.
