A medical report was recently tendered in the murder case involving one Abdourahman Barry at the Special Criminal Court in Banjul before Justice Emmanuel NKea.

When the case was announced, the judge asked the prison officer whether he had brought the medical certificate of the accused, Abdouraham Barry, and the officer replied in the positive.

The medical report was later given to the state prosecutor who also confirmed it before it was subsequently admitted and marked as exhibit.

This followed the order made by the court for the prison authorities to take the accused to the psychiatric hospital to determine his mental status, which order was complied with, and a certificate was issued.

The case was then adjourned till 6 August 2012, for judgment.

It would be recalled that the accused, Abdourahman Barry, is standing trial on a one-count charge of murder, a charge he had since denied.
