Media Connection, a newly established organisation found by journalists from both the print and electronic media last Thursday 28th January 2010, elected an interim committee to run the affairs of the organisation during a meeting held at KWT Radio Station Conference Hall in Fajara.
The main aims and objectives of the organisation are to support the health sector, among other things.
At the end of the session, the following people were elected to the position against their names: Mariama Jallow of Hill Top Radio Station as President, Vice-President, Lamin Jahateh - Business Digest; Secretary-General, Fatou Janneh - KWT Radio; Assistant Secretary-General, Binta Bah - The Daily Newspaper, Lamarana Jallow, Unique FM - Public Relations Officer (PRO), Alagie Camara, Gunjur Radio Station - Treasurer; and Auditor, Modou Baldeh of Today Newspaper.
The fund raising committee members comprised Horeja Jobe - KWT Radio Station, Modou Baldeh -Today Newspaper, Modou Janneh - Gunjur Radio Station, Lamarana Jallow - Unique FM, Mariama Sowe - KWT Radio, Fatou Janneh - KWT Radio Station, Alieu Ceesay - Daily Observer, Assan Bah - KWT Radio and Sara Camara.
For his part, the Sports Editor at KWT Radio Station, Sara Camara, said the aims and objectives of the organisation are to support the health sectors, among things, and then appealed to the members of the newly elected interim committee to be committed to the development of the organisation.
