One Alagie Jobe, on the 19thNovember 2008,
pleaded guilty for damaging a KMC vehicle when he was arraigned before senior
Magistrate Abdoulie Mbackeh of the Kanifing Magistrates' Court.
Inspector Mariama Fatty, who was the prosecuting officer,
while narrating the facts of the matter before the court, stated that on the 17thNovember, 2008,
at Dippa Kunda, a car numbered KMC 6 was parked by the complainant. She went on
to say that the accused gained entry to the car through the glass by willfully
breaking it. Inspector Fatty revealed that the accused stole an injector valued
at D35, 000, four discs valued at D4000, three pressure plates valued at D45,
000 which were sold to one Abdou Nyassi at D750. She further indicated that an
investigation was mounted and as a result, the stolen items were recovered and
the accused was arrested, cautioned and charged.
Magistrate Mbackeh subsequently remanded the accused in
custody and adjourned the case to the 24thNovember 2008
for judgement.
