Man jailed for going armed in public

Magistrate Fatou Drammeh of the Kanifing Magistratas' Court on Wednesday 12th May 2010 convicted and sentenced one Momodou Gaye to a mandatory jail term of three months in prison with hard labour, upon his own plea of guilty for the offence of going armed in public.

According to the particulars of offence on 29th April 2010 at Kanifing Industrial Estate in the Kanifing Municipality, the convict, Momodou Gaye was found in possession of a cutlass, and thereby threatening the public.
