Man Gets 3 Months for Stealing

One Samba Baldeh of Wellingara village was last Tuesday convicted and sentenced to a three-month jail term following his owned' plea of guilty to a charge of stealing.

He was arraigned before Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh of the Brikama Magistrates' Court for stealing from a dwelling house.

According to the facts narrated in court by the police prosecutor, Samba Baldeh on the 17th April 2009 at Wellingara village entered the room of one Mariama Faal and stole a DVD radio audio player valued at D2, 000.
