One Ebrima Sowe alias Papis, an elderly man, suspected to have been murdered, was Wednesday night found dead in a compound located in Brusubi.
The police public relations officer, Sulayman Secka, confirmed the veracity of the story, adding that a suspect, whose name was not revealed, has since been arrested as investigation looms into the issue.
According to him, wounds were noticed on his body, and some cement blocks, believed to have been used to smash the head of Papis, were also found beside the corpse.
The PRO further revealed that a Mercedez benz was also taken away from the compound.
PRO Secka added that the unfortunate incident happened when all those staying with Papis in the compound went to work.
