A Brikama resident, Yankuba Danso was recently arraigned at the Brikama Magistrates' Court before Magistrate Ahamdi, charged with threatening violence, a charge he denied
According to the particulars of offence, on 29th November 2009, at Brikama Town Western Region, with intent to intimidate or annoy threatened to hit Mr. Salifu Preirra with a broken axe handle.
At that junction, the Police Prosecutor 2294 Jammeh applied for the case to be adjourned to enable him call his witnesses
The application was granted and the case was adjourned to 12th December 2009 for hearing.
Meanwhile, the accused was granted a court bail in the sum of D15, 000, with a Gambian surety who must swear to an affidavit of means and provide his contact address.
