Man cautioned and discharged

One Muhammed Sidibeh was recently cautioned and discharged by the Brikama Magistrates’ Court for stealing.

The facts of the case as narrated before the court stated that it happened on 22 February 2012, when the accused, Muhammed Sidibeh hired a taxi from Serrekunda that he was going to Kitty Village.

The facts further stated that on arrival at Kitty Village, the accused asked the driver to park near a compound and he entered into the said compound and later came out with a female sheep.

He put the sheep at the booth of the taxi and the driver asked him about the document, which he failed to produce and the driver became suspicious.

It was further stated that the driver drove the accused to Carabane Police Post and reported the matter to the police and the accused was subsequently arrested and taken to Brikama Police Station.

He was later taken to Kitty where the complainant identified her sheep, which the accused confessed to stealing.

He was later cautioned and charged with the offence committed.
