Man arraigned for attempting to commit felony

A man was recently arraigned before Magistrate Babucarr Secka of the Brikama Magisatrates' Court, charged with attempting to commit a felony.

According to the charge sheet, on 7 March 2011, at Tanji Village, in Kombo South, West Coast Region, the accused, Alpha Omar Jallow, attempted to commit a felony to wit stealing.

Meanwhile, the accused, Alpha Omar, pleaded not guilty and was granted court bail of D5,000.

The case was at that juncture adjourned until 23 March 2011.
