Magistrate Gomez of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court
on 21 October 2015 presided over a case involving a man who was charged with
stealing a motorbike.
Prosecutors alleged that Gorgie Camara stole a motorbike, registration number US414CD, the property of one Lamin Jobe, on 6 September 2015, at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, the Kanifing Municipality.
The law enforcement officers stated that the action of the accused amounted to committing an offence.
Gorgie Camara denied any wrongdoing.
He was subsequently granted bail of D2,000 with a Gambian surety, who should swear to an affidavit of means and to deposit an ID card to the registrar of the court.
Sergeant 544 Jaiteh would call his first witness on 29 October 2015, for the commencement of the case.
