One Kebba Maria, a resident of Busumbala, was recently arraigned before Magistrate Secka of the Brikama Magistrates' Court charged with stealing.
Maria pleaded not guilty and was granted bail of D25,000, with one Gambian surety.
The charge sheet stated that in January 2011, the accused, Kebba Maria, stole the following items: gas cylinder valued at D1,000, one birth towel valued at D300, flush basin valued at D1,950, compound metal gate valued at D15,000, one pair of shoes marked filter valued at D1,350 and one T-shirt valued at D400, all being the property of one Abdou Salam Savage.
The case was adjourned till 21 March 2011.
