The Gambai Lawn Tennis Association is looking set to stage the annual Tennis Junior Championship, slated for Thursday 24th December to Friday, 1st January 2009.
The purpose of the tournament, according to the Assistant Coach of the Gambia Lawn Tennis Association, who doubles as the Head Coach of the beginners, Lamin Drammeh, is geared towards availing the junior tennis players a unique opportunity to expose themselves, in a bid to better equip themselves ahead of the future International Tennis Championship.

The forthcoming tennis championship Drammeh added they would give the young tennis players the chance to improve their standards so as to see what they can offer to the Gambian people.
He therefore urged all and sundry to be part of the tournament by coming out in numbers to support the young tennis players in a bid to help them excel internationally. The tournament Drammeh added is the third of its kind to be organised by the Gambia Lawn Tennis Association.
